vpn for sip to escape fios defective by design moca gateway?

Filed under: COM — Seth Wisely @ 01:09

Since the FIOS westell 9100em gateway’s SIP ALG seems to be designed to break home voip there are a few choices for those enslaved to bitter moca.  One might well be vpn4sip

Designed to allow subjects of fascist regimes talk to friends and family freely it seems like a decent fit for those who suffer the walled garden mentality of Verizon.

  1. Anyone else is using this vpn4sip router and their vpn service? I am traveling in US now but I am come from a country where VOIP is blocked, I tried many ways to get my Vonage works but no luck, until last month I found a VPN router from this company, after shipping the router back to my family in Oman, with simple instructions from engineers the Vonage voip phone works now! I am so happy that I can talk to home every day without worry the phone bills. Not sure how it works in other countries (I found someone over internet saying it works too in Dubai), hope to see other’s comments on this.

    • I’m not sure if you’re a marketing bot or not yet.; Be aware that requiring hardware purchse is a less than optimal way of provisioning a VPN (voip) account. Have you considered zRTP yet?
